Linux for PlayStation 2

The Linux kit for PlayStation 2 allows you to use your PS2 as a fully functional desktop computer and run a wide variety of computer applications that have been written for the Linux operating system.
Thanks to an internal hard drive, keyboard, mouse and monitor you can now install Linux in your PS2. In addition, the kit allows you to develop your own PlayStation 2 programs that operate on Linux.
The Linux kit also includes an Ethernet broadband network adaptor for connection to high speed internet services and home PC networks.

GNU Linux is an operating system developed under Open Source development.

Linux kits for PlayStation 2 can be delivered across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, but unfortunately are no longer available in North America.
And if you are interested in becoming a Licensed PlayStation Developer or Publisher, then send your information to Sony Computer Entertainment America.
