HP MediaSmart Server

The HP MediaSmart Server is a fool-proof solution for file access and sharing designed for home networks.

Powered by 64-bit processing technology from AMD and running Microsoft Windows Home Server, the HP MediaSmart Server provides central access and storage for all digital files, (music, photos, video) to all users across the home network.

Easy to install and configure, the server allows for the creation of up to 10 user accounts using the Windows Server permissions system, for whom you can grant access privileges at the shared-folder level to allow Read/Write, Read Only or No Access.
This way you can create albums of photos and video clips on the server that can be accessed by selected users only.

Visitors can also upload their own photos that can be printed by themselves through a link to Snapfish, an online sharing portal that also provides paid-for printing services.

You can also create a shared iTunes music library on the server for access from any desktop or notebook in the network. The centralized playlist can automatically retrieve and add any new music files from the individual computers.

Features:
  • Supports 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet
  • Supports Wireless networking with a separately purchased wireless router.
  • Automatically backup multiple PCs and quickly restore an entire PC or individual files.
  • Share digital files from any networked PC
  • Video streaming
